Every participating coach is expected to demonstrate biblical alignment, proven professional experience, effective coaching skill, confidentiality, personal integrity, and a willingness to remain accountable to the Network's standards.

Five-step path to becoming a Barnabas coach

JOINING THE COACHING NETWORK

Experience should be shared—but it must be prepared for service.

Prospective coaches will move through a careful process designed to confirm alignment and build coaching competence.

  1. Apply.Describe your Christian school experience and areas of demonstrated strength.
  2. Interview.Discuss mission alignment, coaching posture, availability, and fit.
  3. Complete the Academy.Receive formal preparation in coaching practice, confidentiality, boundaries, and accountability.
  4. Practice under supervision.Demonstrate the ability to listen, clarify, challenge appropriately, and help a leader act.
  5. Join the Network.Serve within a supported professional community committed to continued growth.

THE BARNABAS LEADERSHIP ACADEMY

One gathering. Two purposes.

The annual three-day Academy will bring participating school leaders and Network coaches together. Leaders receive focused coaching, specialist consultation, and personalized planning. Coaches receive training, supervised practice, peer learning, case discussion, ethical renewal, and continuing development.

A BRIDGE TO THE NEHEMIAH PLAN

The schools needing leadership support most should not be left behind.

Qualifying Christian schools may receive subsidized access to the Barnabas Coaching Partnership through the Nehemiah Plan. Schools contribute according to their ability while approved donated services, participating coaches, and future sponsors help make serious professional support possible.

This is not reduced-quality coaching. The same standards of confidentiality, preparation, mission alignment, and accountability apply.
